Your County. Your Vision. Your Future.

The Washington County Planning Commission is pleased to announce the release of the final draft of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan for the County. The purpose of this document is to develop a community vision for future land use and growth management.  Staff has worked diligently to incorporate written comments and feedback collected from the public information meetings, review agencies and stakeholders in 2023. The Planning Commission has reviewed individual land use map requests and made changes where they deemed necessary. During the 60-day comment period you can review this information and provide public comment or ask questions by emailing [email protected]. The deadline for public comments is January 31st, 2025. Following a Planning Commission hearing in January 2025 and this public comment period, the final plan will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County for review and approval.
