Washington County Small Business Impact Grant Opening Soon

Hagerstown, MD (May 22, 2023) – The Board of County Commissioners of Washington County, MD, is proud to announce the implementation of the Small Business Impact Grant program, made possible by the allocation of $5,000,000 of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. The program will provide grants of up to $25,000 to eligible small businesses that have been impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“The Board of County Commissioners of Washington County, MD recognizes businesses are still feeling the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic”, said John Barr, President of the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County, MD. “It is our sincere desire, the Small Business Impact Grant will help offset the adversities the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and its negative economic impact has had on our business community.”
The Washington County Department of Business and Economic Development has been charged with the implementation of the program. Applications will be publicly posted on the department’s website at www.WashCo-MD.net/Business-Development. The grant period opens on June 5, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. EST, and will remain open until June 16, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. EST. Completed applications will be processed and awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Eligibility requirements, grant performance, use of funds, and limitations apply.
