Washington County Government Now Accepting Town of Hancock Building Permits

HAGERSTOWN, MD (September 30, 2019) – The Washington County Division of Plan Review and Permitting and Division of Construction announce that effective October 1, 2019, the County will perform permitting, inspections, and enforcement services for the Town of Hancock. Permit processes that were started prior to October 1, 2019 will continue to be handled and finished by the Town.
Director of Plan Review and Permitting, Ashley Holloway said, ”We are happy to be in partnership with the Town of Hancock. This partnership will be a benefit to both the county and the town. The county strives to be business-friendly for the development process throughout the county and this partnership is one of the ways we’re doing just that.”

Liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential personal on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, until noon. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual.
