Washington County Government Closed for Thanksgiving

HAGERSTOWN, MD (November 22, 2024) – In observance of Thanksgiving, Washington County Government offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28, 2024, and Friday, November 29, 2024. County services will operate as listed below:

  • The Hagerstown Regional Airport administrative offices and the maintenance department will be closed on Thursday, November 28, 2024, and Friday, November 29, 2024, and re-open on Monday, December 2, 2024.
  • Allegiant Air services will continue as scheduled:
  • There are no scheduled flights on Thursday, November 28, 2024, or Friday, November 29, 2024.
  • All services at Forty West Landfill and all other transfer stations will be closed on Thursday, November 28, 2024, and Friday, November 29, 2024. Services will resume on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
  • Essential public safety services will remain in effect.

Liberal Leave is in effective for Washington County Government

LIBERAL LEAVE IS IN EFFECT FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY GOVERNMENT

Liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential personal on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, until noon. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual.

The starting time for today’s Board of County Commissioners meeting will be reevaluated at 9:00 am.

For those required to travel, exercise caution on the roadways. If driving is necessary, ensure your vehicle is completely cleared, drive at a reduced speed, practice caution, and avoid crowding or passing plows.
