Washington County Government Closed for President’s Day

HAGERSTOWN, MD (February 13, 2025) – In observance of President’s Day, Washington County Government offices will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025. County services will operate as listed below:

HAGERSTOWN REGIONAL AIRPORT

The Hagerstown Regional Airport administrative offices will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025 and re-open on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Allegiant air services will continue as scheduled:

  • February 17, 2025: 1:47 p.m. arrival and 2:37 p.m. departure for flights to Orlando/Sanford International Airport (SFB)

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

Washington County Environmental Management offices will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025. All services at Forty West Landfill, and all other transfer stations, will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025. All services will resume on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

TRANSIT

Washington County Transit Services will remain in service Monday, February 17, 2025.

BLACK ROCK GOLF COURSE

Black Rock Golf Course will operate as normal on Monday, February 17, 2025.

PUBLIC SAFETY

All essential public safety services will remain in effect.

LIBERAL LEAVE IS IN EFFECT FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY GOVERNMENT

Liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential personal on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, until noon. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual.

The starting time for today’s Board of County Commissioners meeting will be reevaluated at 9:00 am.

For those required to travel, exercise caution on the roadways. If driving is necessary, ensure your vehicle is completely cleared, drive at a reduced speed, practice caution, and avoid crowding or passing plows.
