HAGERSTOWN, MD (January 30, 2019) – Washington County Division of Emergency Services notifies its citizens that t he County continues to monitor the weather and power outages and remains in coordination with local and state agencies. T here are two volunteer fire companies on standby should a warming center need to be opened throughout the County.
The City of Hagerstown is opening several warming centers within city limits. A warming center is a place for people to come in temporarily to get warm, use the restroom, get a drink of water, and then leave. These centers will remain open for the next 48 hours.
