TRAFFIC ALERT: Road Closure on Howell Road

HAGERSTOWN, MD (September 13, 2023) – On behalf of W.D. Wright Contracting Inc., the Washington County Highway Department announces an upcoming road closure on Howell Road. This closure is scheduled to commence on Monday, September 18, 2023, starting at 7:00 a.m. The closure will specifically affect the through passage of local traffic on Howell Road. The roadway is projected to remain closed for approximately one week to facilitate necessary improvements.

During the closure period, road closed, and detour signs will be prominently placed to guide motorists towards alternative routes. These alternate routes have been strategically established to ensure minimal disruption for commuters.

Alternative routes will be readily available for motorists to use while the closure is in effect. We apologize for any inconvenience this temporary road closure may cause and sincerely appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work towards making necessary improvements.
