HAGERSTOWN, MD (July 24, 2020) – The
Washington County Department of Water Quality will be replacing a waterline at the intersection of McAfee Hill Road and Military Road beginning Monday, July 27, 2020. During the replacement of the waterline, the intersection will be closed to all traffic. A detour route has been established with appropriate signage. The replacement is estimated to take 3 days to complete the work. During non-working hours, steel plates will be placed over the trench and the intersection will be open to traffic.
The current entrance to Cascade Town Centre located at the flashing light will also be closed during construction. The alternate entrance next to the railroad track will be open for traffic.
No interruptions to water service is expected during this replacement.
