“Thankful Travels” – Bus Fare Food Drive to Support Local Families this Thanksgiving

HAGERSTOWN, MD (November 1, 2024) – In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the Washington County Transit Department is excited to announce the launch of the “Thankful Travels” Food Drive, a special initiative that allows bus passengers to contribute to the community while traveling.

From Monday, November 18, 2024, through Saturday, November 23, 2024, passengers can donate canned or non-perishable food items in exchange for their bus fare. “We want to offer a way for people to share and care, making their travels even more impactful this Thanksgiving,” said Communications and Outreach Manger Connor Shank . “This is an opportunity to make a difference while getting to where you need to go, and we are thankful to everyone who contributes to this cause.”
