Hop on the County Commuter Halloween Express! Free Rides and Spooky Fun on October 31st!

HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 28, 2024) – In the spirit of Halloween, the Washington County Transit Department invites you to join the spooky festivities on the Halloween Express!

On October 31st, the County Commuter will be transformed into a Halloween-themed bus, fully decked out with eerie decorations for a frightfully fun experience. Best of all, rides will be FREE all day long!

Whether you’re commuting to work, running errands, or just looking for a spooky adventure, this is a great way to celebrate Halloween in our community. Don your best costume, hop on board, and enjoy the haunted journey—if you dare!

  • When: Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 6:15 AM – 9:15 PM
  • Where: Washington County Transit Stations and County Commuter routes
  • Cost: FREE rides all day!

“We’re thrilled to bring a little extra fun and community spirit to our County Commuter services this Halloween,” said Communications and Outreach Manger Connor Shank. “It’s an opportunity for passengers of all ages to enjoy a festive ride, whether they’re trick-or-treating or simply on their daily commute.”

LIBERAL LEAVE IS IN EFFECT FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY GOVERNMENT

Liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential personal on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, until noon. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual.

The starting time for today’s Board of County Commissioners meeting will be reevaluated at 9:00 am.
