Dam 4 Road Closed Due to Downed Power Lines

HAGERSTOWN, MD (February 24, 2019) – The Washington County Highway Department announces the closure of Dam 4 Road, between Shaffer Road and Woburn Road. The closure is due high winds, causing several downed power lines.

Heavy winds can result in fallen trees and debris on our roadways, as well as downed stop and yield signs, traffic signal failures, power outages and downed power lines. Washington County road crews will actively work to clear debris and downed trees along county roads.

If there is a power outage at your home or business, contact your local energy utility company or visit their website for more information.
