Bardona Woods Receives Award for Career Achievements

HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 25, 2019) – The Washington County Division of Emergency Services congratulates Quality Assurance and Training Coordinator Bardona Woods, for being awarded as Director of the Year for 2018 by the Mid-Eastern APCO. Bardona received this award in recognition of over 36 years of her work as a public servant in Washington County and the State of Maryland. It is her leadership, experience, education and continued commitment to the public, her coworkers, and public safety professionals that led to receiving this award.
Bardona also recently received a citation from Maryland Senator Cheryl Kagan. This citation recognized an impactful 36 year career in emergency communications, training thousands of students encouraging many to become instructors, and influencing training standards in Maryland and across the country.

LIBERAL LEAVE IS IN EFFECT FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY GOVERNMENT

Liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential personal on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, until noon. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual.

The starting time for today’s Board of County Commissioners meeting will be reevaluated at 9:00 am.
