TRAFFIC ALERT UPDATE: Multiple Road Closures in Washington County

HAGERSTOWN, MD (January 10, 2024) – In response to the recent weather system that impacted Washington County, MD, local authorities and the Washington County Highway Department have taken necessary measures to ensure public safety. As a result, several roads in the area have been temporarily closed.

The following roads are currently closed:

  • Cresspond Road
  • Wishard Road
  • Kemps Mill Road at the old mill
  • Independence Road

The following roads have been reopened:

  • Ashton Road

For the safety of everyone, we kindly urge residents and motorists to adhere to road closures and detour signs. Attempting to pass through closed roads can not only endanger your life but also disrupt the ongoing recovery efforts.

We understand the inconvenience these closures may cause and appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this challenging time. Our top priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
