The Great Pumpkin Challenge invites you to grow the largest pumpkin in Washington County. Largest Pumpkin Trophies will be awarded for each category:
- Children 17 and under
- Adults 18 to 61
- Seniors 62 and up
Trophies will be awarded on October 21, 2023.
Start growing your Great Pumpkin Today. Extra large pumpkins take a long time to grow and will require a lot of water and sunshine. Did you know that a 1,700-pound pumpkin was grown in Cockeysville, MD?
Come on Washington County, let’s show the State of Maryland that we know how to grow GREAT pumpkins. Sign up today. Periodic updates will be posted on Facebook throughout the summer showing the progress of each pumpkin. Pumpkins will be weighed and measured in the October time frame. Pumpkins will be weighed at your location utilizing an industrial scale in late October to determine final weight.
The Trophies for the Great Pumpkin of Washington County, MD Challenge 2023 will be awarded on October 21, 2023 at Antietam Pumpkins located at 4410 Harpers Ferry Road, Sharpsburg, MD.
