PAYMENT OPTIONS:

  1. The preferred method of payment is online.  You may view, print, & pay your bill online at www.washco-md.net. The convenience fee for ACH payments is capped at $1.95.  There is no standing in a long line, concern about lost or delayed mailed payments, no downtown parking considerations.  It is simple, fast, and guaranteed.

2. Pay by mail or in person to the Washington County Treasurer.  Make checks payable and deliver to Washington County Treasurer at:

3. Payment from an escrow account with your bank/mortgage company.

4. You may also pay in person or by phone using either a credit or debit card. There is a 3.3% surcharge for all credit/debit card transactions.  The fee is paid to the contracted collection provider.

Treasurer’s Office

The Washington County Treasurer is primarily responsible for revenue collection.

The office performs a variety of services to a wide range of constituents including citizens, taxpayers, businesses, governmental agencies and employees of the County. The Treasurer’s Office attempts to deliver these services in a professional, efficient, and accurate manner, and attempts to draft policies and implement procedures that best serve these constituents.

LIBERAL LEAVE IS IN EFFECT FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY GOVERNMENT

Liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential personal on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, until noon. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual.

The starting time for today’s Board of County Commissioners meeting will be reevaluated at 9:00 am.

For those required to travel, exercise caution on the roadways. If driving is necessary, ensure your vehicle is completely cleared, drive at a reduced speed, practice caution, and avoid crowding or passing plows.
