TRAFFIC ALERT: Road Closure on MD 68

HAGERSTOWN, MD (January 27, 2023) – On behalf of the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA), the Washington County Highway Department announces Maryland 68 at US 11 to Cedar Ridge Road will be closed on Saturday, January 28, 2023, and Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The closure is to remove the buildup of debris under the MD 68 bridge over the Conococheague Creek.
 
Local traffic will be allowed through and detours will be set up by the MDOT SHA.
 
For MD 68 West: US 11 North to MD 63 North to US 40 West to Cedar Ridge Road to Maryland 68.
 
For MD 68 East: Cedar Ridge Road to US 40 East to Maryland 63 South to US 11 South.

Liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential personal on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, until noon. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual.
