VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 2022 St. Patrick’s Day RUN FEST

HAGERSTOWN, MD (March 16, 2022) – Due to the inclement weather last weekend, the 2022 St. Patrick’s Day Run Fest will now take place this Saturday, March 19, 2022. Join the Washington County Parks and Recreation Department and the City of Hagerstown in supporting the Washington County Community Free Clinic.

It will be an in-person fitness extravaganza in honor of Dan McDougal, M.D that will include four running events for all ages and levels: the Clover Kids Race, One Mile Shamwalk, a 5K Run, and an 8K Run.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Due to the schedule change, the Washington County Parks and Recreation Department is still looking for volunteers to provide operational and administrative support for Run Fest. There are many event tasks where we could use additional help:

  • Offering Directions and Support along the course
  • Managing water and first-aid stops
  • Assisting with Registration and Packet Pick-up
  • Providing post-race refreshments

If you are interested in participating in our event as a Race Volunteer, please complete the short volunteer survey by clicking the button below and staff will contact you.

Be sure to join us for this great running event and the spirited “After Party” in Downtown Hagerstown to begin your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Costumes and St. Patrick’s Day attire are appropriate and highly encouraged.

For additional information, please contact the Public Relations and Marketing Department at 240-313-2380 or [email protected].
