Division of Permits and Inspections Expands Online Services

HAGERSTOWN, MD (November 22, 2021) – The Washington County Division of Permitting and Inspections announces an expansion to its online services for permitting. Citizens can now submit various permits, trade licenses, and registrations via the Citizen Access portal. All applicants must be registered with Citizen Access before being able to move forward with the online submittal.
 
Phase One of online submittals includes the following records:
 
  • Ag Certificates
  • Signs
  • Demo (Residential and Non-Residential)
  • Chimney
  • Kennel Verification
  • Zoning Certificates
  • Utility Permits
  • Entrance Permits
  • Grading Permits (not grading plans)
  • Floodplain Permits
  • All licenses and registrations for Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical
 
Certain documents will be required to be uploaded as part of the application submittal.
