HAGERSTOWN, MD (March 30, 2021) – The Washington County Board of County Commissioners is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Bradshaw as Director of the Division of Environmental Management effective March 20, 2021.
Bradshaw has been with Washington County Government for 22 years. His career with the County began in the Engineering Department as an Engineering Tech III. He worked there for 5 years before transferring to the Department of Water Quality where he served as the Facilities Engineer. In 2007, Bradshaw was promoted to Deputy Director of Engineering Services. The experience and knowledge gained in these previous roles have led to his new title as Director of Environmental Management. In this new role, he will take on leading Solid Waste & Recycling, Water Quality, and the Clean County Initiative.
Bradshaw graduated from Wilkes University earning a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. He later obtained a Master of Business Administration from Frostburg State University.
As newly appointed Director, Bradshaw said, “I am excited to take on the role as Director for Environmental Management. Our staff will continue to work hard and find creative solutions as we serve the citizens of Washington County.”
