Notice of Funding Availability: Community Organization Funding for Fiscal Year 2026

HAGERSTOWN, MD (November 1, 2024) – The Washington County Office of Grant Management (OGM), on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners, is excited to announce the opening of the Fiscal Year 2026 Community Organization Funding (COF) application process. This initiative aims to support eligible nonprofit organizations within Washington County that enhance community welfare and contribute to the overall quality of life for residents.

To qualify for COF, organizations must appear on the Recognized Non-Profit list, in accordance with the Code of Public Local Laws § 1-108. If your organization received this announcement, it is already on the Recognized Non-Profit list and may be eligible for funding consideration. For additional eligibility information, please consult the COF Application Guidelines and Requirements for FY 2026, available on the OGM website.

Starting today, November 1, 2024, the COF Guidelines, Requirements, and application forms are accessible online at Washington County’s Grant Management webpage.

Important Deadlines

Completed applications must be submitted by December 4, 2024, at 3:00 pm. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
