TRAFFIC ALERT: Temporary Road Closure on Bowie Road

HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 29, 2024) – The Washington County Highway Department announces a temporary road closure of Bowie Road scheduled for today, October 29, 2024, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The closure will affect the section between Remsburg Road and Taylors Landing Road to allow for essential maintenance.

Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and exercise caution while traveling in the area. The Washington County Highway Department appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as it completes this necessary work to maintain roadway safety and quality.

Liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential personal on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, until noon. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual.
