Temporary Closure of Central Bark Dog Park for Maintenance

HAGERSTOWN, MD (March 4, 2024) – The Washington County Parks and Recreation Department announces the temporary closure of the large dog side of Central Bark Dog Park at Marty Snook Park (located at 17901 Halfway Boulevard, Hagerstown, MD 21740) for maintenance.

On or about March 18th, 2024, the large dog side of Central Bark Dog Park will be closed to the public. The closure is necessary to facilitate maintenance activities aimed at improving the park’s facilities. Specifically, the closure will allow for the establishment of new grass to ensure a better experience for our furry friends and their owners.

During this maintenance period, which is anticipated to last approximately one month, visitors are encouraged to utilize the small dog side of the park. All dogs will be welcome in this area, and visitors are asked to plan accordingly.

Washington County Parks & Recreation appreciates the understanding and cooperation of the community during this maintenance period. Regular updates will be provided regarding the reopening of the large dog side of Central Bark Dog Park.

For additional information, please contact the Washington County Parks & Recreation Department at 240-313-2812.
