TRAFFIC ALERT: Temporary Road Closure on Sterling Road for Railroad Maintenance

HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 18, 2024) – The Washington County Highway Department would like to inform the public that Norfolk Southern will be closing Sterling Road at the railroad tracks for maintenance beginning Monday, October 21, 2024, at 8:30 AM. The closure will remain in effect through Friday, October 25, 2024, until 4:00 PM.

During this time, Sterling Road will be closed to all through traffic. Detour signs will be posted to guide drivers around the closure. Please plan ahead and use alternate routes to avoid delays.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as these necessary improvements are made to the railroad infrastructure.
